Announcing our 2024 Fundraiser: Bus Stop

Bus Projects is excited to present Bus Stop, our 2024 Fundraiser Exhibition, which opens on Wednesday 14 August featuring the works of more than 100 artists!

This year we are taking a moment to pause and reflect on our past 23 years of operations, while thinking about where we would like to go next as an artist-run-initiative. The title of our fundraiser reflects this thinking, and we have invited artists from our community (both old and new) to be part of this journey.

After a few years of uncertainty and financial volatility, Bus Stop will directly support Bus Projects’ future. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be shared with participating artists and will also go directly to the payment of artist fees and other core operational expenses that are necessary to keep our small 2-person organisation stay afloat.

We recognise that while fundraising is essential to keeping our doors open, we are also asking for donations during a time where other more pressing issues require urgent attention. This year, we are also donating 5% from all proceeds raised from the fundraiser to Pay The Rent and Palestine Australia Relief and Action (PARA). We wanted to situate our fundraising efforts within this context.
