Shelley Lasica Content and Form Open Call

Opening: EOI closes 19 January 2020

“Content and Form”
EOI CLOSED

Bus Projects and Shelley Lasica invite you to submit an expression of interest for Content and Form, a series of workshops about choreography designed for artists’ whose primary practice is neither dance nor choreography.

Content and Form will be held over three workshop dates which must be attended by all successful applicants. These sessions will address, in different ways, notions around the development of ideas individually and collectively, and the relationship and implications imbedded between these modes of working. The series will investigate the process of making work, the transmission of ideas and its distribution through choreography as a subject for discussion and as a mode of production. Discussions will be focussed on the areas of originality, the body, truth and context as well as accumulation of, and releasing from knowledge.

Content and Form will be held at the following times:

  • Wednesday 12 February, 2 - 5pm
  • Wednesday 19 February, 2 - 5pm
  • Wednesday 26 February, 2 - 5pm

WHO CAN APPLY

Bus Projects welcomes applications from individual arts practitioners at all career stages. Content and Form is designed for artist whose primary practice is neither dance nor choreography. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Bus Projects’ Content and Form EOI closes at midnight Sunday 19th of January, 2020. Applications should be submitted through our online form. After the closing date, a shortlist of applicants will be invited to participate in the workshop series. Applicants are encouraged to check the dates as we would like to involve all participants in all three sessions as an ongoing process.
