‘Hit & Miss’ is a disruption of standardised dichotomies: first/last, hit/miss, fail/succeed, sense/nonsense. This is not a matter of one side or the other. Rather, the exhibition is a reflection on the ambiguous realm between, the grey zone in which both sides of the / are tangible outcomes. Set within the grey zone, the work questions our social conditioning, highlighting the ambivalent nature of these socially constructed polarities. Through it’s development, ‘Hit & Miss’ navigates the moments in which to fail is to succeed and succeed is to fail – an artistic process of social renegotiation.
