"Monsters and Their Treasures"
Mark Rodda

Born in Tasmania in 1973, Rodda has a BFA (Painting) from the University of Tasmania and an completed his honours degree in Fine Art at RMIT, Melbourne. He has held over 15 exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney, Launceston and Auckland and in 2006, was one of the artists featured in the inaugural SafARI art festival in Sydney.

In 2014 Rodda was the winner of the Glover Prize in Evandale, Tasmania, Australia’s wealthiest prize for landscape painting and he has also been a finalist in the Wynne Prize and the Rick Amor Drawing Prize. Rodda has shown in group exhibitions internationally and around Australia and coinciding with his first solo exhibition at Gallery 9 in 2013, Artist Profile and Art Collector magazines both interviewed him and featured his practice. His works are in the Artbank collection as well private collections in Australia and abroad.
