"Music Video 3"
The Donkey’s Tail, Francis Plagne

Opening: Saturday 14 March, 7:30pm
Dates: Saturday 14 March 2015

The Donkey’s Tail is an experimental, abstract, free noise, improv, garage ensemble using regular musical instruments the wrong way round – noise and some songs. The group was formed in early 2007 by abstract artist John Nixon as a recording project. To date 75 studio cds have been released with nixon solo or in combination with 1 or 2 other members from the ensemble.

Francis Plagne is a musician from Melbourne whose work swings between traditional songwriting and a variety of other approaches, including group improvisation, instrumental abstraction and domestic musique concrète. In addition to performing his own work either solo or with a band, he has performed in improvised and other arrangements with Oren Ambarchi, Marco Fusinato, Dean Roberts, Valerio Tricoli, Joe Talia and Anthea Caddy.

This event is supported by Mountain Goat Beer.
