"Play with Your Food II"
Christo Crocker, Declan Greene, Drew Pettifer, Ilia Rosli, Nic Tammens, Danae Valenza, Theodore Wohng
Curated by: Drew Pettifer, Nella Themelios

Opening: Sunday 12 February, 6-10pm
Dates: 12 February 2012

'Play with Your Food' launched in 2010 and is an ongoing series of events produced by BUS Projects. Play with Your Food draws on the current pop cultural interest in culinary artistry to explore the political and cultural ramifications of food production and consumption. The project takes its cue from artistic experiments in food from earlier periods of the avant-garde and post-war art: from F.T Marinetti’s Futurist Cookbook to the more recent public art practices of Gordon Matta-Clark or Rikrit Tiravanija.

In January 2012 BUS Projects will host Play with Your Food II, the second instalment in the series. Artists Christo Crocker, Declan Greene, Drew Pettifer, Ilia Rosli, Nic Tammens, Danae Valenza and Theodore Wohng will each devise multiples of an ‘edible artwork’ to be served as a course of canapés. These courses will together form a menu to be consumed in a one-off event at Meyers Place Bar. Tickets for the event are $35 (including food, wine, tea and coffee).

Cost: $35 per person + bf (incl. dinner, wine and coffee)
Venue: Meyers Place Bar, 20 Meyers Place, Melbourne, VIC 3000
Time: 6pm-10pm
