PUCE MARY
As Puce Mary, the Danish artist Frederikke Hoffmeier explores Industrial music and noise as a coaxial form that enables the correlations between personal political expression and communal practice, noise and sound as presentation of a relation, and the potential of the genre to assert a more nuanced approach to navigating the limits of the human condition within a topos of sound and embodied experimentation.
Her approach to music, existing within and focused directly at the webs of domination and submission are uncompromisingly translated through a palette of field recordings, synthesizers and percussive elements effected to the point of resembling rhythmic pulse and an onslaught of vocalized attacks.
MILITARY POSITION
Harriet Morgan presents her most current solo enterprise, Military Position, interrogating and accentuating the psychedelic potentials within the death industrial modus, replete with dystopian vocal onslaught. (Harriet might want to add to this but she hasnt provided me with anything otherwise as yet)
GAUD
Nick Kuceli’s Gaud project consistently delivers slamming industrial techno and rhthymic noise. Spanning releases on Distort, Future Archaic and Altered States Tapes, Kuceli has developed a unique sound and is readying an LP.
KNEELING KNAVE
Kneeling Knave is a recent solo project of Cooper Bowman (Flat Fix, Dry Mouth, Roman Nails). While still being informed by the legacy of industrial and power electronics, KK aims to create something unique thematically and sonically. Following a 7” on Altered States Tapes, a full-length cassette titled ‘Compliance’ is forthcoming on LA label Chondritic Sound.
