Deanna Hitti RE-ARCHIVEOpening: Wednesday 7 August, 6 - 8pm Dates: 7 August - 31 August 2019
RE-ARCHIVE draws on an archive of photographed objects from Hitti’s family bi-cultural home. Utilising the Cyanotype printing method, the personal objects are overlaid onto a collection of 19th and 20th century Orientalist French paintings. Re-Archive re-packages these historical visual representations and questions the place from which we look and construct our perception of cultural difference.
