'Revolve' is an exhibition that investigates the reflective field of abstraction. The monochromatic work attempts to push beyond the traditional boundaries of painting. My practice is made up of both tape installations and painted objects. These two methods coexist and inform one another. The adhesive tape installations have enabled my practice to expand from easel painting into the exploration of three-dimensional space. From these explorations into volumetric space it has refocused my painting practice towards altered canvas shapes. Through painting on these altered canvases it increases the object-ness of the work. These paintings take on a greater sculptural presence within the gallery space.
