Paul Knight, Chantal Faust Spatial Condoms Premature Evacuations
Opening: Tuesday 20 May, 6-8pm Dates: Tuesday 20 May-7 June 2003Paul Knight graduated from the Victoria College of the Arts (Melbourne, Australia) with a Bachelor of Fine Art (hons) in 2001. In 2002, he was awarded a two year residency as a studio artist at Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces (Melbourne, Australia). In 2007 he was awarded the prestigious Ann & Gordon Samstage Traveling Visual Arts Scholarship - this led Knight to the Master’s program at the Glasgow School of Art, where he graduated with an MFA in 2009. That same year he was the winner of the William & Winifred Bowness Photography Award at the Monash Gallery of Art (AUS) and selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries (UK). In 2010, he exhibited a solo presentation in the Open Space section of the 44th Art Cologne and was awarded the London Studio residency by the Australian Council of the Arts. In 2012 with Tobias Yves Zintel, Knight presented the project The Genetic Drive as part of the Glasgow International Festival for Visual Arts and in 2013 was included in We Used To Talk About Love at the Art Gallery of New South Wales (AUS) and Melbourne Now at the National Gallery of Victoria (AUS). In 2014 Knight was included in Episodes: Australian Photography Now at the 13th Dong Gang International Photo Festival in South Korea.
Dr Chantal Faust is an artist, writer and tutor in Critical and Historical Studies and convenor of the Humanities Research Forum at the Royal College of Art.
