Torie Nimmervoll

Opening: Tuesday 30 September, 6-8pm
Dates: 30 September-18 October 2003

Torie Nimmervoll’s practice revolves around the body’s relationship to space and the objects within it, often using her own body for exploration. Nimmervoll often considers herself as a prop, rather than a body in performance. Recent works in 2014 include a collaboration with Bridie Lunney as hosted by Performance Space in 30 Ways with Time and Space, a collaboration at Carriageworks that was replicated at Melbourne Now. She also collaborated with Bridie Lunney in performance at White Night, Melbourne. Her most recent performance was at an Artist Run event Love/City curated by Arie Rain Glorie. Other works include Propositions with Bridie Lunney at Gertrude Contemporary, 2013; The ceiling has lost it’s solidity, manysquaremetres, 2012; her collaborative project with artist Jason Maling, Prismatic Audit, Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne Central and City Village 2010-2012; and Nimmervoll’s solo series Objecthood, Seventh Gallery, Kings ARI and West Space 2009-2010.
