Grant Nimmo
"I smell a rat"

Grant Nimmo‘s practice is part satirical bad dream, part subtle social commentary on the frustrating state of contemporary art and politics. Nimmo’s practice is largely painting based but spreads through various windows into sculptural forms, publications, mural and print. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at Monash University in 2002 and a Postgraduate Diploma of Education at the University of Melbourne in 2005. Since then he has participated in a number of group exhibitions in Australia and internationally. Recently presenting his work at Westspace, Melbourne, Chapter House Lane, Melbourne, and the 2013 Art- Athina International Art Fair, Athens, Greece. Grant has also held solo exhibitions in Australia with Anna Pappas Gallery Melbourne and Evan Hughes Gallery Sydney. Grant Nimmo lives and works in Melbourne.
